The Executive Director, African Hub International, Mrs. Oluneye Oluwole, has said that the company will soon be a global business leader through the support services and social enterprise it renders to ensure the success of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria and other African countries.
Oluwole, who gave the assurance in Lagos during the company’s maiden press conference, noted that the company was established to create a platform, an enabling business environment and provide business support services for business owners, emerging entrepreneurs, start-up, micro, small and medium enterprises, with its state-of-the-art business services.
She explained that African Hub provides a platform for its clients to network, learn, work and grow their businesses and ideas through various events that it organises, like product seminars, workshops, launches, press conferences, among others.
According to her, “African Hub International is a Pan-African Business Supportive Service Organization and Social Enterprise. We create a platform, an enabling business environment and provide business support services for business owners, emerging entrepreneurs, start-up, micro, small and medium enterprises, with our state-of-the-art business services: Work Stations, Virtual Office, Unlimited Internet Access, uninterrupted power supply, Front Desk service, Administrative Support and Beverage Catering.”
“Beyond this, we provide a platform for our clients to network, learn, work and grow their businesses and ideas through our various events: product seminars, workshops, launches, press conferences etc. Our focus is to foster the growth of Africa’s emerging entrepreneurs and SME sector,” Oluwole added.
She said part of the company’s resolves to help grow small businesses and start-up was the creation of work stations and virtual offices whereby the clients would only pay a minimal amount of money for using their work stations or virtual office for their business transactions without necessarily having to own physical offices, which could be expensive.
She further noted that the African Hub would be launching an e-commerce platform, in addition to dedicated web portals and enhanced business support services, where its clients would have a wider platform to reach their target markets, increase productivities and sales.
“Through our social enterprise, we create a platform of expression and enabling environment for Africa’s upcoming entrepreneurs and creative talents, through internship placements, entrepreneurship mentoring and coaching, sponsorship, endorsements and creative arts events,” Oluwole said.
The Chief Executive Officer, Redox Corporation Limited, Mr. Nureni Awayewasere, described African Hub as a veritable platform where emerging business owners have their dream realised, adding the in the nearest future physical offices would be replaced by digital.
Speaking on the effect of cybercrime on e-businesses in the country, the Managing Director, New Telecom Limited, Mr. Jaiyeola Adebayo, said that though cybercrime is a threat, but added that all internet services rendered by the African Hub were secured against being tampered with without authorisation.
“The problem of cybercrime exists but with African Hub, you do not need to worry in terms of server failure. We proffer solutions to some of these problems. We have been able to put in place some mechanisms and we have partnered some other organisations to ensure we give our clients the best,” Adebayo said.
