Delta Ijaw Commend Buhari’s Nomination of Adjogbe as NDDC’s Executive Director, Projects

Ijaw who are members of the All Progressives Congress have expressed support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination of Mr Samuel Adjogbe for the position of Executive Director, Projects, of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC‎).

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday,‎ the Delta State Forum of the All Progressives Congress Ijaw Stakeholders said the appointment was one of the best made by the president so far.

Adjogbe, an Urhobo from the Delta Central Senatorial District, will replace the immediate past occupant of the office, Mr. Tuoyo Omatsuli,‎ an Itsekiri.

The statement which was signed by Demebide Jerome and Mr Graham Singopere‎ said: “We wish to state with emphasis, that the Ijaws in the Delta APC are very, very comfortable with Mr. President’s choice of Engineer Samuel Adjogbe for the position of Executive Director, Projects, of the NDDC.

“Apart from being eminently qualified for the office, Adjogbe is a committed and loyal party man; a bridge-builder and patriot who will work selflessly to assist Mr. President actualize his vision of massive development of the pauperized Niger Delta region.

“The APC Delta Ijaws hereby commend Mr. President for finding Engineer Adjogbe fit for nomination to the National Assembly for the NDDC EDP position.

“We also felicitate with the nominee on his well-deserved appointment, and urge members of the National Assembly to confirm him without hesitation.

“We firmly hold belief that Engineer Adjogbe and his fellow members of the incoming NDDC board will justify the confidence reposed in them by Mr. President, and as well meet the developmental yearnings of all ethnic nationalities in Delta State and Niger Delta as a whole.”
