Ondo AG Resigns, Joins Guber Race

Ahead of the November 2016 Gubernatorial Election in Ondo State, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede yesterday resigned his appointment from the cabinet of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. The resignation of Jegede, came about 10 days after the State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Olusola Ebiseni resigned from the cabinet also to contest for the primary ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Unlike the resignation of the Jegede’s action was done amidst funfare. Jegede was escorted to the Alagbaka Akure seat of government by different interest groups, who rolled out drums, singing and dancing to the Governor’s Office Complex where he submitted the letter to the Secretary to State Government (SSG), Dr Aderotimi Adelola.
