The National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday released the guidelines for the conduct of the primary of the party for the November 2016 gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
In the guidelines signed by a member of the National Caretaker Committee, Senator Abdul Ningi, the PDP primary election is fixed for August 22 for the primary.
According to the time-table for the primary, the sale of nomination forms will take place from Friday, July 22 to Monday, August 8 at 13, Thaba-Tseka Street, British Village, Wuse II, Abuja, while the last day for submission of completed forms is fixed for Tuesday 9 August 2016 at the same venue.
The statement said that the screening of aspirants would take place at the State Party Secretariat, Akure, Ondo State on Thursday 11 August, 2016.
It added that screening appeals shall take place at the same party secretariat, Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday 13 August 2016.
According to the time table, the gubernatorial primary election shall hold on Monday August 22, 2016 while appeals from gubernatorial primary shall hold on Thursday 25 August, 2016.
