Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, at the weekend approved the absorption of 83 Junior Airmen that recently passed out from the Air Force Military School (AFMS), Jos, Plateau State.

Abubakar, who was at the 31st Passing Out Parade for the Junior Airmen, said he had approved the absorption of all the 83 junior men into the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) service for those who desire.

The CAS who was represented by the Chief of Administration, NAF Headquarters, Air Vice Marshall Augustine Jekennu, said it would amount to waste of human and material resources to send the junior airmen to the larger society as civilians.

He urged them to be passionate and strive hard towards the achievement of their personal goals and aspirations stressing that the NAF headquarters will continue to improve on the school’s infrastructure and facilities in order to make teaching and learning conducive.

While inaugurating the renovated Provost Squadron in the school, the CAS said, “it’s part of the vision of the NAF to not only provide men with the capacity that will add value to society but at the same time provide them with facilities that are modern and will enable them measure up with the task they have been given.”
