In a bid to strengthen the communication wing of the Joint Task Force fighting militancy and other forms of criminalities in the Niger Delta, the military has posted a new spokesman to head the media department.

Lt. Col. Olaolu Marcellinius Daudu, the new Coordinator of the Joint Media Campaign Centre (JMCC) headquartered in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the JTF said, has already resumed duty.

President Muhammadu Buhari had recently ordered the restructuring of the security outfit following the return of violent agitation by youths in the oil-rich region.

Aside from the recent renaming of the outfit from ‘Pulo Shield’ to ‘Operation Delta Safe’, a new Commander, Rear Admiral Joseph Okojie, had also been appointment by the military to oversee the security organisation.

Lt.Col. Daudu replaces Col. Ado Isa who has been posted to the Training and Doctrine of the Nigerian Army (TRADOC) as the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations.

Until his appointment as the JMCC, Daudu was the immediate past Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Bonny camp, Lagos.
