MASSOB Disagrees with Buhari over Nigeria’s Sovereignty

The Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has disagreed with President Muhammadu Buhari’s declaration that Nigeria’s sovereignty is not negotiable, saying it is out of tune with reality.

The MASSOB said that the President was still being his old self without realizing that a new trend had taken over.

Nigerian sovereignty, the MASSOB said, is negotiable to enable component units determine their destinies.

The MASSOB said in a statement signed by its leader, Mr. Uchenna Madu, that the President was probably in his inner sense of reasoning talking about the indivisibility of one North which he presides over with his kinsmen occupying the positions in the military hierarchy.

This is in addition to other para-military organizations in which the North took the commanding heights, including service chiefs, and other high ranking offices /positions, it added.

MASSOB said: “He will easily crush Biafra, maybe with his intimidating tendencies over Igbo Governors, National Assembly members, religious/ opinion/ political leaders. He still thinks he can crush Biafra. MASSOB views Buhari’s constant negative comments on Biafra consciousness as a sign of (being) jittery and of unsteadiness.

“As every revolutionary struggle has its own methodology, the current Biafran struggle for actualization and restoration will continue to unfold confusing methods to president Buhari. The involvement of Niger Delta Avengers and other Niger Delta freedom fighters in Biafra struggle will continue to haunt Hausa-Fulani people.”
