Former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, at the weekend recounted what he suffered in Alagbon Prison, Ikoyi, under the despotic administration of former Head of State, late Gen. Sani Abacha.

He disclosed that the now Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu, who was then Commissioner of Police, graciously risked his life for his sake when he was being incarcerated over the struggle to actualise the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

He recounted his experience at the public presentation of a book, Cascade of Change: A Decade of Liberal Thoughts, authored by Lagos State Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde.

The book presentation that took place at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, attracted President Muhammadu Buhari, the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
