Lawmakers Accused of Sexual Misconduct Address Media Today

The lawmakers accused of sexual misconduct while on a recent trip to the United States, will today address the media to provide explanations on the allegations levelled against them.

Hon. Mark Gbillah, Hon. Garba Gololo and Hon. Samuel Ikon were accused in a petition written by the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle, of solicitation for sex while on a trip to Cleveland, Ohio for an international visitors’ leadership programme.

The three lawmakers have denied the allegations.

Gbillah, in a text message yesterday, said: “We will be issuing a world press statement with the National Assembly press on Monday afternoon.”
