Sahara Reporters Lied!!! Midwestern, Jite Okoloko Not Involved in Election Shenanigans

Few hours after infamous news portal, Saharareporters, typically made wild and wide claims that indigenous oil company, Midwestern Oil and Gas Limited, was the source of $30m, which former Delta State Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan allegedly deployed for electoral campaigns in the state, the news medium has failed to recant or supply verifiable facts to back up the story.
In spite of representations to Saharareporters that the story was a by-product of a puerile and parochial mind, the news medium has refused to drop it, thus, lending credence to insinuations that it may be sponsored after all.
Rather, it had, characteristically, maintained undignified silence on the patently unsubstantiated story.
It would be recalled that many Nigerians, including top bankers, allegedly involved in the distribution of slush funds for the 2015 general elections have at one time or the other been questioned by anti-corruption agencies.
However, Midwestern Oil and Gas, maintains its innocence, stating unequivocally that neither the company nor its promoters or even its chairman, Mr Onajite Okoloko, was involved in politics of any hue.
The company stated that apart from its far-reaching Corporate Social Responsibility schemes, it maintains neutrality on all political matters.
The company stated that while it considered legal options, there was the stronger consideration that doing so would be akin to wrestling with a pig which is the overt desire of the pig anyway.

The company states however that it would not be deterred or distracted from its various CSR initiatives which have over the years contributed meaningfully to the social and economic development of its host communities, improved the quality of life of the people, their families and the society at large.
