Uja, New CEO of NCPC Assumes Office

Mr. Tor Uja who was recently appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has assumed duty on on 23rd May, 2016. He will pilot the affairs of the commission for a period of five years and renewable for another five years. Uja was born on 28th August, 1957 in Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State. He attended St. John’s Primary School, Gboko and Government Secondary School, Gboko, Benue State.

In 1978 he was admitted into the University of Lagos, for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication and graduated in 1981.

His quest for knowledge took him to the University of Jos, where he bagged a Master of Science Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies in 1987. Also, Uja enrolled for his Doctor of Philosophy Programme (PHD) in the University of Jos and he is expected to round off the programme any time from now.

Uja who is a seasoned Journalist has held several strategic appointments in the government as well as the private sector since graduation. He was Commissioner for information and Social Development in Benue State as well as the Commissioner of Commerce and Industries.
