Kano, Katsina, Jigawa States Record Low Compliance with NLC Strike

Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states’ workers failed to comply with the NLC’s call for an indefinite strike over the fuel increase price.

In these states, banks, schools, markets and offices all opened for business.

THISDAY correspondent observed that people were seen carrying out their normal duties peacefully in Kano.

At Audu Bako secretariat, workers resumed duty without any hitches, while policemen were deployed at the entrance of the secretariat.

However, at State Road leading to Government House, policemen and state traffic officers popularly known as KAROTA were intimidating motorists.
