Watching workers of the Cross River State Waste Management Authority protesting against 21 months of unpaid salaries on Tuesday was really disheartening.
This is man’s inhumanity to man. I am shocked that Governor Ben Ayade is allowing an oppression of this magnitude to continue in Cross River State.
Those mainly affected are the street sweepers. Some of them have died waiting for their salaries. The others remaining are walking carcass. Ayade must wake up and put an end to this suffering.
