To address personnel-related issues from the foundation, and subsequently achieve a professionally responsive army in the discharge of its
constitutional roles‎, the Nigerian Army has vowed to reposition all command
‎secondary schools throughout the country.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Yusuf Buratai, stated this at the inaugural seminar of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) with the theme; “Repositioning Nigerian Command Schools for Quality Education in the 21st Century.”

To this end, Buratai directed that command secondary schools in Ipaja and Kaduna be used as pilot projects to kick-start the dream.

He has also tasked the NARC to come out with all the requirements that would ensure that these schools are repositioned to compete globally, stressing that the project would continue at regular pace until all the command schools attain the required
status.
