Heartland captain and centre back, Chinedu Efugh has said his side will end their search for three points on the road at champions and neighbours, Enyimba.
The Naze Millionaires are guests of the People’s Elephant in today’s rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match-day 6 Oriental Derby at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
Efugh said the derby clash is predictably going to be tough but his side is prepared for the banters the Aba outfit will throw at them in the clash.
“Of course, it’s going to be tight and tough given the existing rivalry between both familiar sides.
“We are prepared just waiting patiently for Match-day to unleash our whole weight on Enyimba.
“We are quite hopeful that the clash will be different in term of result compared with past away results so far in the ongoing league.
“Of course, we appreciate the fact that we are yet to claim three points on the road so far in the season but something tells me the search will end at Enyimba.
“Everybody knows what is at stake more so as the encounter is coming on the heel of our home win against Sunshine Stars.
“The Umuahia turf is a neutral ground for both sides and another incentive for us to go all out to challenge for the maximum points.
“The match offers each side 50/50 opportunity to excel and I believe we will have a good song at the end of the duel,” said for former Enugu Rangers strongman to supersport.com.
Heartland is 11th on the 20-team Nigerian top flight on 17 points from possible 39 in the 13-week old league.
