Egypt’s Muslim Elders’ Peace Delegation Arrives Abuja, Preaches Peace, Tolerance

The Muslim Elders’ Peace delegation has arrived Abuja to spread the values of tolerance and peace.

A statement by the spokesperson of Egyptian Embassy in Abuja, Ahmed Maher, said the delegation arrived on Monday.

According to the statement, the visit of the delegation to Abuja would be their first trip abroad in 2016.

Under the supervision of The Grand Imam of El Azhar, Sheikh Ahmed El Taieb of Egypt, who is also the chairman of the Muslim Elders’ Council, the delegation’s duty is  spreading the values of tolerance and peace.”The  delegation was received by a delegation from Nigerian Islamic Council and Iftaa Authority who commended the visit and said it will help a lot in attracting the world’s attention to the extremist way of thinking which Nigerian has been suffering from for a long time now.

“The delegation is to meet with Sheikh Ibrahim Saleh Al Hussaini who is the chairman of the Nigerian Islamic council and Iftaa Authority, he is also a member of the Muslim Elders’ council.
