TheChairman, Senate Committee on Navy, Senator Duro Faseyi , has boasted that the Peoples Democratic Party will take control of the upper legislative chambers if the senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki is removed as Senate President .

Faseyi, representing Ekiti North senatorial district, who described Saraki’s trial at the code of Conduct Tribunal for alleged corrupt assets’ declaration, said the PDP has the numerical strength to take control of the senate.

He described the controversy surrounding the passage of the 2016 budget as needless, saying the Calabar-Lagos rail line that elicited so much furore was never contained in the original budget estimate submitted to the senate by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Saraki, a member of the All Progressives Congress, is being tried at the Code of Conduct Tribunal for alleged shady assets’ declaration.

The senator spoke in Iludun Ekiti monday during an empowerment programme he organized for his constituents in Ikole, Ilejemeje, Ido/Osi, Moba and Oye local government areas of the state.
