Presenting the donation in his Bauchi residence , Wakili who is also the Chairman senate committee on poverty alleviation, noted that all senators in the country were given some amount of money to carry out projects in their various constituencies this year, adding that he chose to donate the fertilizer in order to boost farming in the senatorial zone that would concomitantly revitalize the economy of the state.
He said apart from the party leaders and his campaign coordinators, all aspirants who contested for and lost different seats in the seven local government areas of his constituency during the past polls had also benefited from the gesture.
The senator used the forum to admonish Nigerians to stop over heating the polity over the 2016 budget returned to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari opining that neither the executive nor the legislature is to blame for the delay in the passage of the appropriation bill ‘because they are all doing their constitutional duties’.
