FCT Minister for Novare Gateway Mall’s Groundbreaking Ceremony Today

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Mohammed Bello, will tomorrow lay the foundation of the new Novare Gateway Mall in Abuja.

This mall, which is currently valued at $68,000,000, sits on an 18,000m2 expanse of land and includes 589 parking bays.

According to a statement issued by the developers of the project, the development of the mall would be undertaken in two phases and the second phase of the development is poised to increase the lettable area of the mall by 10,000m2.

Set to open its doors in April 2017, anchor tenants in the new Novare Gateway Mall will include Shoprite, and the Genesis Deluxe Cinema, among others.

The statement added that the management of the mall was already in talks with a number of blue chip companies in a bid to guarantee an excellent and sophisticated mix of retailers with the mall.

It noted that the mall is funded by the Novare Africa Property Fund I and II and financed by Stanbic IBTC, while Monterosa Construction Limited, also responsible for the Novare Mall in Lekki, Lagos, had been appointed as the lead construction company for the project.

Other professional teams on the project include Kenna Partners, Stauch Vorster, Aurecon, and Best Africa.

The mall according to the statement, is the third development project undertaken by Novare Real Estate Africa.  Other mall projects in its portfolio include the Novare Apo Mall, Abuja and the Novare Mall Lekki, Lagos which is set to open on June 30, 2016.

The occasion would be chaired by the Chairman of the Novare Gateway Mall, Professor Fabian Ajogwu (SAN).
