The former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, has debunked reports that he has resigned his membership of the party and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress.
In a statement signed by Nwodo on Monday, the party chieftain said that although a number of issues within PDP remain embarrassing to him, he has never contemplated leaving the party he joined as a founding member..
Nwodo who is a former governor of Enugu state and also a pioneer National Secretary of (PDP) stated that it was improper for the media to base its conclusions “merely on my wife being present at a meeting that I was not, to conclude that I have joined the APC disregarding the fact that my wife as an adult has her own political life.”
