Yankee entertainment boss, Mallam Yankee, has announced the Owerri edition of the Nite of a Thousand Laugh. The popular Comedy show, which has been scheduled to hold on March 26, 2016, will be holding inside the Imo International Conference Centre, Owerri, will be spiced up with music of different genres.

According to Mallam Yankee, the Owerri edition of Nite of a Thousand Laugh brings forth “special, dynamics and unique music and comedy nicely packaged for live audience.”

He said while Owerri residents will have their ribs cracked with comedy from Helen Paul, Accapella, Funny Bone, Osama, Chuks D’ General, Yellow Mouth and MC Cacino, Harrysong of the E-money will give the show the desired musical touch that will take the audience through a memorable night trip.

He equally divulged that popular Warri boy, Gordons has been considered as the host of the show.
To be part of the show, patrons are expected to obtain their tickets with only N2000 for regular stand, 5000 for VIP, N10, 000 for VVIP, while a table of eight goes for N300, 000. It would be recalled that Mallam Yankee has continually reechoed his effort towards transforming nightlife across the country, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

  He has partnered and organised several shows to include, Koko Concert, Iyanya Album Launch, many of 2Face’s shows, Charlyboy showlive, Owerri must laugh, Nite of a Thousand Laugh, and others numerous to mention.  The showbiz impresario said his target is to help revive nightlife across the country, so other states outside Lagos and Abuja can compete favourably. The Owerri edition of Nite of a Thousand Laugh will start ushering in patrons as from 6pm.

Orji to Empower Constituents at Easter
Senator Theodore Orji, representing Abia Central senatorial district at the National Assembly, is set to empower those who voted for him in his constituency this Easter through the distribution of some empowerment items.

The empowerment items include 20 units of 2.5 megawatts generator, 20 units of home grinding machines, 20 units of sewing machines, 100 bags of fertilizer, 14 units of motorcycles, 10 units of tricycles, 15 units of wheelchairs, amongst other things.

“Now that we are going home for Easter, I am going to empower my constituents who voted for me,” Orji told THISDAY. “I want to emphasise that only those that voted for me will receive these items and anywhere it stops, we continue until the items get to those that cast their votes for me.”

Also, the senator’s wife, Mrs. Mercy Orji, will, through her foundation, Hannah-May, conduct a medical retreat. The foundation has, in stock, glasses and drugs for different types of sicknesses, and will bring in doctors who will move from one zone to the other, attending to people.

According to the Senator, the medical retreat will “extend outside my senatorial district, for people to have a feeling that we are here and that we remembered them.”
