Seriki Adinoyi in Jos

The University of Jos (Unijos) and the National Veterinary Research Institute ( NVRI), Vom, both in Plateau State, Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to kickstart the study of veterinary medicine in the university.

Speaking at the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Hayward Babale Mafuyai, said the establishment of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine was long overdue.

He said he was happy that the faculty has come on board after much work has been done to put it in place, and that it will meet the aspirations and yearning of the community.

Mafuyi expressed commitment that the university would ensure the success of the programme in the institution.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Executive Director of NVRI, David Shamaki expressed his happiness over the MoU, stressing that it was a privilege for the two institutions.
