The Rivers State office of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) was still a beehive of activities as at 9.30am as collation officials for the re-run election in the state were waiting for their letters of appointment.

Some of the officials, all of whom are university lecturers, said they would not go to commence work until they got their letters of engagement.

THISDAY however gathered that their job would not start until about 4pm by which time the issue would likely have been sorted out.

At the INTO C office, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, and other senior officials were still in a meeting when our reporters called.
