Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has approved the appointment of Chief Frank Omare as the Director-General, Special Programmes, to the state government.
The appointment of Omare, a former commissioner for environment in the administration of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, took effect from 13 February, 2016, a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Mr Festus Ovie Agas, said on Monday.
Omare was in 1999 first appointed into the government of the state as a senior special assistant, youth development, by then Governor James Ibori but later served as commissioner in charge of bureau for special Duties from 2005 to 2007.
In 2007 he was appointed as Chairman, Task Force on Demolition of Illegal Structures in the capital city of Asaba and, later as commissioner for housing by Dr Uduaghan, who in 2011 redeployed him as Commissioner for environment.
