In an effort to encourage hard work and excellence in the work place, the Imo State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Taiwo Frederick Lakanu, for his exemplary performance in the fight against crime in the state.
Through Resolution No. 35: titled: “Vote of Confidence on the Imo State Commissioner of Police” contained in a letter with reference number IHA/CL/S.14/V/84 of 25th February, 2016 and signed by the Permanent Secretary/Clerk of the House, Barr. Chris Duru, the House felt that the Commissioner of Police had fought criminals to a stand-still to the extent that it could be felt by everyone in the state.
“I wish to convey to you, Imo state House of Assembly Resolution passed during its plenary sitting on Thursday, 25th February, 2016. During the said sitting, Imo State House of Assembly resolved to pass a vote of confidence on you, Mr. Taiwo Frederick Lakanu, Commissioner of Police, Imo State on your performances in the State over security challenges,” the letter read.
