Chief Coach of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Football Club, Frank Onyiriuka, has expressed gratitude to management of NNPC for motivating their delegation ahead of the ongoing Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG) in Lagos.
Onyiriuka particularly applauded Hipolite Amadi, Director, Executive Services, Imokhai Samson, Head of Human Resources and Mr. Adewale Ladenegan, Acting Managing Director of Warri Refinery and Petroleum Resources for adequate camping and releasing the staff to feature in the bi-annual games that would be ending this weekend at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
The former player of defunct ITT, Stationary Stores of Lagos, Ranchers Bees of Kaduna and NNPC of Warri said the team camped in Mosimi, Ogun State, had vowed to reciprocate the good gesture of the management by defeating Shell F.C in today’s final of the football event at Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Onyiriuka promised that NNPC F.C that won the gold medal by defeating Chevron 2-0 in the 2014 final is poised to defend the title by beating Shell in today’s cracker.
NNPC beat Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) and Chevron Football Clubs in recent playoff before qualifying for the final.
He concluded that beside the motivation by NNPC management, the entire team captained by Charles Uyi was technically fit to outwit Shell F.C come today.
