President Muhammadu Buhari

A pro-Buhari group, #istandwithbuhari organisation, has said the reason ordinary Nigerians gave President Muhammed Buhari massive support in the last presidential poll was their belief that he would deliver on his promises.

The group urged Nigerians not to be unnecessarily agitated by the apparent delay in the the implementation of people- oriented polices of the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that it would not be long for good things to start happening.

Addressing a press conference on Friday in Abuja, the Head, Media and Publicity of the group, Ibrahim Garba Wala, said that greater collaboration between the citizenry and government will result in greater trust and cooperation for better implementation of government programmes.

“Election promises are like a contract and expectations of Nigerians are that President Buhari will fulfill the promises made during the elections, but it will not be proper for us to dictate this will be implemented, ” he said.

Wala said they would will mobilize Nigerians from the thirty-six states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to hold a solidarity march in Abuja before end of the month to support the current crusade against corruption.

He said federal government should not succumb to blackmail but should ensure that all the persons indicted and found guilty in the ongoing anti corruption war are all sent to prison.
