The 88th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Academy of Motion Picture (AMPAS), which took place Sunday at the Dolby Theatre honored the best films of 2015. The event and took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, The ceremony witnessed AMPAS presenting Academy Awards commonly referred to as Oscars in 24 categories. Actor Chris Rock hosted the show for the second time, having previously hosted the 77th ceremony held in 2005.
