Rangers International FC of Enugu has promised their fans victory against visiting Plateau United of Jos in a mid-week Match-day 2 Nigeria Professional Football League match today.

The Flying Antelopes want to make up for their 1-2 loss to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano last Sunday.
Rangers’ Spokesman, Foster Chime, quotes the captain, Okey Odita, as saying, “the players are ready to put the visiting team from Jos through `the sword’.

“We are ready to make up for our 1-2 loss to Kano Pillars with a victory against Plateau United on Wednesday.
“I and my team mates have put the loss behind us and now perfecting strategies toward defeating United by as much as two goals.
“Our technical management team has pointed out our mistakes during the last match and we have resolved never to allow such mistakes to re-occur.

“We will put what we have been told into practice, starting from Wednesday’s match against United,” the captain said.
The statement added that the Technical Adviser, Imama Amapakabo, said he would feature the newly cleared players that did not play in the match against Pillars.

It said Bright Esieme, Kokou Donou from Maranatha FC, Togo, Morris Enete and others would play in the Wednesday’s match.
The statement, then, called for maximum support from their fans.

It said the management led by Paul Chibuzor had also assured the fans of a successful outing against Plateau United.
“The management also wishes to bring to the notice of our fans that the club plans to unveil their new Jersey for the season.
“We will also unveil the replica jersey and other merchandising materials,’’ the statement added.
