Major Pain killer Company, DexaMedica, makers of Boska, last week, conducted its Pain Free Day initiative in Fegge communities in Kano to help consumers stay healthy during this period of hot weather as communicated by Nigerian Metrological Agency (NIMET).
The Pain Free Day event was attended by over a thousand people who were equipped with health tips to stay strong during this season.
According to Brand Executive, DexaMedica, Joseph Christopher, he said qualitative findings suggests that exposure to high temperatures can make existing illnesses seriously worse (for example trigger a heart attack), cause serious permanent injuries (damage to the brain or other vital organs) as a result of untreated heat stroke, and in extreme cases result in death.
“We have, in commemoration of the day, provided the opportunity for consumers to see health experts who have provided full range of health services for free. They provided free eye glasses for those in need as well as prescribed drugs to treat eye, ear and nose defects.
“Besides rendering free health services, we have also used the opportunity to educate consumers on how to live stress-free while at their various duties.
“This Pain Free Day edition is specially designed to keep consumers healthy during this hot weather. Given the hot weather, I am confident that DexaMedica will continue to improve the delivery of quality healt care for consumers in the months ahead,” said Christopher.
