Arsenal, Newcastle Clash Goes Live on GOtv

GOtv subscribers will, this weekend, have access to the best action from the English Premier League (EPL) and La Liga on today and Sunday.

Among the matches to be broadcast live is the clash between Arsenal and Newcastle, with both teams seeking redemption from the less than impressive results they had in their last matches.

Arsenal was held to a scoreless draw by West Ham, while Newcastle suffered a home loss to Everton on Wednesday.

Arsene Wenger knows Arsenal cannot afford another slip-up when they face Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium aiming to end a damaging run of three Premier League games without a win.

Only one point separates the Gunners from Tottenham Hotspur in fourth, but in what is shaping up to be a tight battle for the Champions League places, Arsenal can ill-afford to drop more points against a struggling team.

The West Ham draw was preceded by a stalemate at Southampton – both games Wenger would have expected to win – reinforcing the view that Arsenal have not yet recovered from the blow of losing to Manchester United at home.

Wenger shuffled his pack for the short trip to West Ham, with both Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud making their first Premier League starts of the season. The match will kick off at 4pm today, and will be available on SuperSport Select 2 (Channel 32). Also today, a resurgent Atletico Madrid will seek to continue the revival when they take on Alaves in the La Liga. The match will be live at 9pm on SuperSport Select 4 (Channel 34), available to only GOtv MAX subscribers.

On Sunday, it will be the turn of La Liga leaders, Barcelona, who will seek to put behind them the indifferent results they got in their last two matches, when they take on Deportivo La Coruna at the Camp Nou.

The match will air live on SuperSport Select 4 at 9pm. GOtv subscribers can enjoy the best in La Liga action by getting GOtv MAX for only N3,800 monthly.
