In a suspense-filled unveiling process, Nigeria’s one and only
entrepreneurship TV reality show, The Next Titan Nigeria, has unveiled
the Top 16 contenders in the ongoing season four competition.

Fifty entrepreneurs of great business ideas made it to the Premiere/Gala
Nite recently where skill and luck separated 16 contestants from the
numbers, leading them into the Next Titan House.

While 15 of them emerged through selection by the judges, one person
was specially chosen by Heritage Bank Plc, the chief sponsor of the
annual show.

Having successfully made it to the The Next Titan House, the top 16
entrepreneurs will be locked in weeks of real business drills where
they will showcase their unique business skills and ideas through
regular tasks that will be given to them by the judges.
They are to aggressively compete for the final three and eventual
winner of the N5, 000, 000 mouth-watering grand prize put at stake by
Heritage Bank, and a brand new Ranger car donated by Coscharis Ford
Motors.

Speaking at the event, Senior Special Assistant to President Mohammadu Buhari on Job Creation, Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede, congratulated all the 50 Next Titan entrepreneurs for making it to the Premiere Nite, describing them as winners.

He spoke to them on the topic: ‘Big Thinking and Big Impact’. “All the
entrepreneurs who think big really make big impact. Big is not the
size of your organisation neither is it the number of your employees,
or the thickness of your rules and regulations. It’s not about how
thick the handbook of your organisation is. But I think the big is
really about the scope of your vision and the impact that you make,”
Imoukhuede said.

He said Nigeria needs more of the Next Titan platform in order to
ignite the entrepreneurial spirits of the enormous youthful
population, nurture their pretty ideas into most valuable products
that fit into the Nigerian marketplace, and taking advantage of the
huge national population and the global market.

In his keynote address, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer,
Heritage Bank, Mr. Ifie Sekibo, congratulated the conveners of the show
for staging the event for the fourth year, and “for bringing together
the brightest talents that are eager to prove their unmatchable skills
in shaping the economy; that leads to numerous investments and
translate into job creation across the country.”

Sekibo represented at the event by the Executive Director, Mr. Jude
Monye, added: “Today, I am glad to see these 50 contenders emerging
from the thousands of faces from the entries submitted; contenders who
are willing to take up the challenge as entrepreneurs and change the
world for better, as presented in this year’s theme: ‘Big Thinking,
Big Impact’. And, I am confident that Heritage Bank’s partnership with
The Next Titan presents the right avenue for young, innovative
entrepreneurs to grow and thrive.”
