City Drop Iheanacho To Finalise Transfer

Manchester City youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho has been left off the club’s pre-season tour in order to accord him the opportunity of finalising his summer transfer.

With reports still lingering about interest in him from Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, clarification from Etihad Stadium indicates that Iheanacho was dropped from the club’s trip to United State of America because of his transfer issues.

Iheanacho was among seven first team players not included in the tour by The Citizens’ coach Pep Guardiola, but while Leroy Sane, Yaya Toure and Nicolas Otamendi are set to team up with the team in the US, the Super Eagles lad and four others are not expected to be a party of the team anytime soon.

While Claudio Bravo was excused due to his commitments with the national team of Chile during the break, Iheanacho, alongside Wilfred Bony and Fabian Delph, has been left behind by coach Pep Guardiola to help them focus on their plans to leave the team this summer.

Same can be said about Fernando who was also left out, and Iheanacho’s case is even more glaring as a fee has been agreed for his transfer and the only issue holding up his move is the dispute over his bonafide agent.

His image right tussle between two agents ended in court, but unfortunately the court ruled against the wishes of the 20 year old, insisting his first career agent First Eleven are his bonafide representative and not Stellar group of companies, which he desires to work with.

The ruling has held up the move, but an out of court settlement is reportedly on the cards, and a decision favourable to his career will be taken by the warring party in few days time, and it will pave the way for his expected move to Leicester City to be completed.
