The wife of Niger State governor, Dr Amina Sani Bello, has disowned a Facebook account being used to defraud innocent members of the public just as a Minna-based social critic, Elyakub Lamis, has said that the 250 jobs promised by the governor have been “hijacked”.

A statement from the office of the governor’s wife said that Dr Bello “does not have a personal Facebook account, she only has a Facebook page where her activities as wife of the governor are being posted”.

The statement signed on her behalf by her chief press secretary Aisha Wakaso, said the fake Facebook account with her name and picture was being used to defraud innocent job seekers by promising to secure them jobs in the Nigeria Customs Service and other federal government agencies.

“The Wife of the Governor does not give or secure employment into any parastatal neither does she or anyone request or receive money on her behalf,” Wakaso said in the statement.

Lamis in a statement said that the 250 jobs promised job seekers in the state during the Democracy Day broadcast by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello had been hijacked.
