Osinbajo to Speak at The Nation’s Economic Forum

The Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo will thursday lead eminent stakeholders including governors, bureaucrats, investors and the international community to the maiden edition of THE NATION’s Forum On The Economy.

Messages from the Office of the Vice-president and Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, the host governor, confirmed their readiness for the historic event.

Also, Governors of Edo, Imo, Benue, Borno, Oyo and many of their counterparts in the six geopolitical zones will attend the event from the first day.

The private sector and the international community, represented by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, the Bank of Industry, the US-Africa Chambers of Commerce, the Italian Consular General and would attend the programme.
A statement by the Chairman, Editorial Board of THE NATION, Mr. Sam Omatseye, explained that the forum is instituted as a response initiative to complement the current efforts to reposition the nation’s economy.

While Osinbajo will deliver the keynote address, state governors are to deliver special papers on the competencies and potentials of their states. Ministers are also to deliver speeches on the importance of their roles in the new economic order.
