Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State

Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State on Tuesday recommended to the three arms of government, the kind of team-work, diligence and result-oriented approach that brought the Super Eagles success at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Speaking while receiving the prestigious trophy at the Government House, Bauchi, Governor Yuguda also noted that the triumph was a pointer to the bounty harvests that can be derived from peace and unity.

“The Government and people of Bauchi State are delighted with the Super Eagles’ triumph at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. The success was certainly the result of hard work, as well as team-work, determination and dedication.

“We are all very proud of the team, as we are sure all other Nigerians are proud of the team. I wish to recommend to the three arms of government – executive, judiciary and legislature – the same spirit of team-work, because that is the surest route to success.”

While congratulating the Nigeria Football Federation and urging the body to work even harder to bring more glory to Nigeria through the game at international level, Governor Yuguda named a major street in the State capital after the President of the NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari.

Present at the occasion were members of the Bauchi State Executive Council, NFF President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, NFF Executive Committee member, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu, Eagles’ Assistant Coach Daniel Amokachi, special assistant to NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau and personal assistant to NFF President, ex-international Nasiru Jibril.
