Super Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo
Super Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo, has said he expects a very good result from the team as it confronts Niger Republic on Wednesday in Niamey in an international friendly.
Yobo, whose protracted transfer saga from EPL side Everton was eventually concluded about 10 days ago, said he knows the quality of the local based players and trust that even without the foreign-based stars, Nigeria will get a good result in Niger.
“I wish them good luck and a fine result because they are quite good and capable of doing what all of us in the team can do," Eagles Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, quotes Yobo as saying in an electronic conversation.
The Fernabahce of Turkey defender also assured that now that he has settled all queries regarding his club future, he will be back in full flight for the Eagles when they tackle the Lone Star of Liberia by September in Monrovia.
“By God’s grace Nigerian will see a brand new, refreshed Joseph Yobo in the match against Liberia," he said.
