A total of 12 children have emerged winners in the draw for the First Bank of Nigeria Plc’s ‘Hi-Fi Young Savers Account’ promo held in Lagos.
The children were compensated with N1 million to be deposited in their account with First Bank to support their education.

Head, Consumer Banking Products, First Bank Plc, Mr. Chika Ezeagabu, said that the winners emerged from the six zones of the country.
According to Ezeagabu, the essence of the promo was to encourage parents to save for their children who are infants till they get to 18 years. He explained that before any child would qualify for the promo, which commenced in 2008, such person must have saved up to N750, 000 before the year runs out.
The N1 million, to be deposited in the winners’ savers’ accounts, can only be released to their parents if it is going to be used for their education.
“This is to encourage parents to save money for their children for a brighter future and as well as encourage other parents and would-be customers to walk into any First Bank’s banking hall to deposit and transact business with the bank,” he added.
