Wild Protest, as Gunmen Kill Two in Jos

Though the Christmas celebration went peacefully in Jos, Plateau State, the pageantry may not be the same in the New Year as residents of Trade-Centre in Kuru village of Jos South local government council of the state went on rampage on Monday morning following the killing of two of their kinsmen by unknown gunmen.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Hon. Pam Ayuba, who  narrowly escaped lynch by the rampaging youths of the area, said one of the deceased men is a physically challenged person, who is limping on one leg while the other man who was trying to assist him to move fast was also shot in the hand. He later died too in the hospital.

Ayuba, said it was at about 7.00pm on Sunday, the people relaxed outside their houses when all of a sudden five people dressed in a black  Hilux van opened fire on them.
