Union Bank of Nigeria Plc said it would enlighten its customers on the need to adopt alternative payment channels apart from cash at this year’s Kaduna International trade fair.
A statement from the commercial bank at the weekend said it would showcase its array of cash-less banking products to its customers and visitors at the fair.
The fair which commenced at the weekend and would end on May 6, 2012.
“The bank will repeat the feat it attained at the just concluded Enugu International Trade Fair, where it was adjudged the most supportive partnering bank and most consistently participating bank for over two decades, an experience that would enable customers transact businesses and make purchases with their e-payment cards,” the statement said.
According to the bank, some of the products that would be on display at the fair include:Union Mobile, which enables customers to top-up telephone credit for all networks; transfer funds; pay utility bills and make enquiries about balances in their accounts.
“ With Union Online, account statement or balance as well as intra-bank funds transfer would be accomplished with ease. Also, there would be the Union Galaxy, an e-payment platform, which enable big, medium and small companies and government ministries, departments and agencies make and manage their payments effortlessly. Compared with its peers, the Union Galaxy has been rated as one of the best e-payment platforms in the financial services industry,” the bank said.
