Unilever Nigeria Plc. has unveiled its New Triple Purified Vaseline Petroleum Jelly into the Nigerian Market. The new offering was launched with its ‘As Pure as a Mother’s Love’ stage play directed by renowned Playwright and Director, Wole Oguntokun.
The stage play, which was performed at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, brought together several dignitaries including First Lady of Lagos State, Abimbola Fashola, who was represented by Mosunmola Junaid; celebrities in the entertainment industry and members of the business community.
Speaking at the occasion, Junaid said that mothers were a gift to the world and that she is proud of hers and the mother she also has become. “Truly there is nothing as pure as a mother’s love. It is kind and sacrificial bearing the whole family along with strong, loving arms. In-fact, it is the purest love that exists on earth.”
Junaid thanked Unilever for the support it had given to Nigerians through its quality products and opportunities to celebrate mothers and groom children in the right manner during this day and age.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Unilever Nigeria, Thabo Mabe, had stated that the event was symbolic of Unilever’s commitment to making the lives of its consumers more beautiful, enriching their lives, while also showcasing the high purity standards of the New Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. “Just as a mothers’ love is pure, so is the gentle, yet strong nature of Vaseline providing purity like no other to all our consumers,” Mabe said.
Mabe stated that the relaunch of Vaseline showcased the company’s dedication and connection to mothers and families across Nigeria, while providing a platform to celebrate mothers who have provided the very best for their children and families.
Explaining further on Campaign activities for the relaunch, Director, Brand Building, Unilever Nigeria, David Okeme, said that the stage play has given Unilever the opportunity to showcase and give audiences the experience of a story that displays pureness to that of a mother’s love. He submitted that the love of mothers, as the campaign theme implies, was the thrust of the entire stage play.
