The Super Eagles of Nigeria remain on the 30th spot in the latest FIFA Rankings released Thursday March 14, 2013 by the world football governing body.

The African Champions also stay 4th in the rankings amongst Africa teams.

Triumph in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations shot Nigeria to her present position and with little or no activity since the victory over Burkina Faso in finals of Africa’s biggest football tournament the Eagles remain static on the monthly rankings.

Elephants lead Africa

The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire despite dropping one step in the March rankings from 12th to 13th spot remains Africa’s highest ranked team.

Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Algeria, Zambia, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Central Africa Republic and Cape Verde Islands make up the continent’s top 10 teams, reports

Spain continuing to hold a comfortable lead at the top of the rankings closely followed by Germany and Argentina in second and third place respectively.

A total of 18 ‘A’ international matches have been taken into account for the March edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 11 April 2013.
