The Star Time to Shine Promo, recently inaugurated to reward loyal consumers of Star lager, has produced new set of winners. The new beneficiaries, who were presented with cars in Lagos, are Otame Oluchi and David Nwankwo. While Oluchi is a student of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Bauchi State-based Nwakwo is a commercial driver.
Delta State-born Oluchi, 22, one of the 2nd batch of winners in the promotion, was at the headquarters of Nigerian Breweries Plc., brewers of Star lager beer, to take delivery of the keys of her brand-new Toyota Corolla car.
Speaking after receiving the keys to the car, Otame was full of praise for Nigerian Breweries Plc. “Now with this car, I can say that my status has been elevated in school. I am a different person. Everybody will want to be my friend when I get back to school,” she said.
For Nwankwo, the second car winner on the day, the brand new car is the answer to his prayers: “I have been praying to God for my own personal car for a long time. Now I have it and I am happy that God used Star, my favourite drink, to answer to this dream of mine,” he stated.
The two winners were handed their car keys in an impressive ceremony held at the corporate Headquarters of Nigerian Breweries Plc., in Lagos.
Speaking on the promo, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc., Mr. Walter Drenth, stated that the promo was designed to reward consumers of the brand: “I think this is the biggest promo in the country because we have over 8.5 instant million prizes including cash prizes. This promo is different because you are almost guaranteed of a prize if you buy a bottle of Star apart from the cars,” he explained.
Thirteen more lucky winners will each win a brand new Toyota Corolla car. Other prizes to be won in the promo include LCD TV sets, cash prizes worth N20 million, pens, baseball caps, t-shirts, umbrellas and millions of free drinks.
