The Southern Kaduna Progressive Youth Movement (SKPYM) Monday faulted the position of the Northern socio cultural organisation, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) on the creation of new states.

The ACF had at the weekend expressed its opposition to the creation of additional states, noting that it will only add to the huge cost of governance without bringing about development.

But the Southern Kaduna youth movement while criticising the position of the forum in a statement Monday in Kaduna, alleged that ACF was against the wishes and aspiration of Nigerians who  are desirous of states.

The youth group claimed further that the forum was particularly against the agitation for the creation of Gurara state from the present Kaduna as being demanded for by the Southern Kaduna people.
