Galatasaray have confirmed that Dutch midfielder, Wesley Sneijder has agreed a move to join the side in Turkey.
The club has released a statement confirming the move.
“Wesley Sneijder has agreed on the transfer and discussions are ongoing with the player.”
This is a big development, as up until Friday night, his agent had declared he was rejecting calls with a Turkish number.
“Wesley Sneijder has agreed on the transfer from FC Internazionale, read a statement on the Galatasaray website on Saturday.
“Discussions are ongoing with the player. We bring this to the attention of the public.”
This confirms that Sneijder has not rejected the move outright, although long talks are expected to work out personal terms, reports futaa.com.
Turkish media reported on Saturday morning that a deal had already been struck for €3.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses and a signing-on fee worth €5.8m.
