Skye Bank Plc said Monday that it had constructed a modern two-storey multi -purpose building for the Yaba College of Technology Alumni Association, in line with its support for educational development in the country.
A statement quoted the bank’s Executive Director, Commercial Banking and Public Sector, Mr. Gbenga Ademulegun, to have said at the inauguration that the bank embarked on the project as a way of discharging its corporate social responsibility to its host community.

He commended the association for conceiving the idea of leaving behind a worthy legacy to the college and enjoined other alumni associations to emulate the example.

He assured the association of the bank’s continued support, noting that such complementary efforts from alumni bodies would assist in lifting standards in institutions of higher learning across the country.

The Rector of the school, Dr. Magaret Ladipo, urged other corporate organisations to also assist higher institutions in the country as government alone could not fund education.

The President of the alumni association, Chief Emmanuel Unachukwu, expressed gratitude to Skye Bank for funding the project saying that the association’s accomplishments in developing the school were in great part due to the support of the bank.
