Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company has predicted increased business activities in 2013.

The Chairman of Sidmach, Mr. Mike Olajide, who gave the robust outlook in Lagos during a recent award ceremony it organised for its staff members, said there would be lot of ICT activities across the private and public sectors of the economy in 2013. He based his prediction on achievements recorded by most ICT companies in 2012 and their zeal to invest in technology to drive their businesses.

In rewarding members of its staff for their efforts at moving the company forward, it also recognised three distinguished friends of the company by presenting them with special awards. They included Major General Sebastian Achulike Owuama (rtd), Dr. Mohammed Sakiwa Abdulrahman and Mrs. Deborah Tinuola Ajayi. He said their reward was in appreciation of their support and contributions to the growth of Sidmach.

Olajide said he was excited that Sidmach grew to the enviable level it is today.
“We have been in business for 18 years now and we have no abandoned project,” he said.
Speaking on the company’s achievement for 2012, Olajide said it successfully developed, deployed and inaugurated the WAEC Online Result Verification Portal (ORVP), which is a kind of service with the objective of promoting authenticity and integrity in the service delivery process of the nation’s educational sector.

“Our company has continued to be a firm believer in the abundance of opportunities in our nation. We are conscious of the fact that our services are very key to the actualisation of the business goals of various stakeholders both in the public and private sectors. At Sidmach, what makes us unique is that our solutions and services have positive impacts on virtually every family in Nigeria. We are humbled by this fact and have rededicated ourselves to ensure that the privileged standing of ours is maintained going forward. For us it is all about pleasing and surpassing the expectations of our customers, who are the reason why we are in business,” he said.

Two of the staff members, Mr. Mudashiru Lawal and Mr. Olusegun Adeeko, were rewarded for their punctuality and commitment to duty.
The essence of the awards, according to Olajide was to reward deserving staff members and encourage others to excel in their duties.

Presenting the awards to the staff members the President of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Mr. Ademola Aladekomo said, “Sidmach gives qualitative awards which recognises efforts put in by those who have supported them.”

Aladekomo likened the company to a river that does not forget its source and encouraged it think big, grow big and be listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Managing Director of Sidmach Technology, Hassan Alao, noted that despite all the challenges in 2012, the company did fairly well as it carried on full and uninterrupted operations.
