The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Senator Modu Sheriff has denied allegations that he was out to frustrate the on-going merger talks between key opposition parties.

The former Borno State Governor, who spoke through his Special Adviser and the Adamawa State chairman of the party, Umar Duhu Tuesday, also said there is no iota of truth in the insinuation making rounds that he is planning to dump ANPP to join the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Sheriff said  he never contemplated  leaving ANPP, adding that he co-founded and helped to build up party.
