The training which lasted five days aimed at educating the hotel associates on Safety Security and Emergency Evacuation Procedures.

The lecture which was conducted by various Security Organisations commenced with a lecture on Bomb Threat and Security awareness by Mrs Vera Esidere from the Department of State Security Services.

Sheraton Abuja associates were further given tips on Medical Emergency Management/First Aid by Dr Nnaji of THT Sheraton Abuja Hotel.

Lectures on Fire Prevention as well as Risk assessment Training/Evacuation Drills were delivered on the 3rd and fourth day by Eng. Peter Adeoye, Controller Policy, Regulatory and Inspectorate Unit alongside Fire Superintendent Oduye Sunday of the Federal Fire Service. 

The Security program ended on day 5 with Security and Safety Tips by Mr Oboh Oghenero, Director of Security Sheraton Abuja Hotel.

The Climax of the event was the vote of thanks and end note address given by the General Manager of Sheraton Abuja Hotel
Mr. Boris Bornman. Mr.Bornman informed all the associates of the hotel that “security at our Hotel is a never ending process of upgrading the system, polices and procedures to enhance our safety/security realisation”.

He added that “the key ingredient in security is the efficiency to adapt to and face new challenges. The quicker we adapt the more efficient we are to provide the tools necessary to achieve a secure, safe and protected environment”.
