The defending Champions upset the Sand Eagles once again in this edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup CAF Qualifier, thus denying them a place at the global showpiece for the first time since 2008.
Cote d’Ivoire also joined the pack to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti 2013 after beating hosts, Morocco.
The hosts were close to qualifying for the World Cup, but three goals by the Sand Elephants in the last period of the game ended up ruining their dream and bringing anguish to the thousand of fans who packed the stadium at Plage Brija in El Jadida.
